Job Description

  • Building and developing the Category Team
  • Pitching, negotiating, managing relationships, and building merchant business
  • Forges partnerships with top tier suppliers and distributors that can offer their goods and services in the STORM Benefits platform and later manages merchants by creating a good relationship between the merchants and STORM.
  • Makes sure merchants extend healthy margins to STORM
  • Plans and executes customer-focused product assortments in order to drive sales and category strength.
  • Forecasts sales based on trend, inventory availability, upcoming promotions and new client launches to minimize cancellation due to out-of-stock incidences and to maximize profitable sales.
  • Participates in seasonal promotions created by our marketing team.
  • Develops and implements processes in order to streamline processes and encourage maximum order executions.
  • Identify opportunities to meet merchants’ requirements and managing the accounts of existing merchants
  • Responsible for portfolio growth through a series of aggressive merchant acquisition, sales and relationship management activities including reviewing and analyzing MIS Reports for monitoring of sales performance and profitability
  • Involved in the implementation of strategic plans for new program requirements and design solutions for acquiring, growing and retaining business
  • Responsible for problems resolution, including escalation of issues to the correct department
  • Ensures appropriate merchant metrics are generated, data is accurate and reporting deadlines are met on a timely basis by collaborating and coordinating with Category Leads

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the following will be a plus:
    • Merchant Relations or Merchandising.
    • E-commerce.
  • Entrepreneurial.
    • Can solve problems out of the box.
    • Should be flexible with work / role.
  • With the following skills:
    • Negotiation.
    • Business development.
  • Strong evidence of leading and developing people.
  • Must be motivated by growth, development, and making a difference.
  • Must have strong work ethics.
  • Go-getter and dynamic.
