Job Description

Enables stakeholders to access information for increased learning and productivity. Manages the activities and staff involved in supporting and maintaining information systems. Works closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and needs in order to deliver to them the right services.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Planning

  • Participates in the formulation of SSD tactical and operational goals.
  • Develops tactical and operational plans for the System Support group.
  • Identifies and registers risks from system support processes.

2. System Support Management

  • Establishing processes, systems, procedures, policies, KRAs, KPIs, performance standards, and service level agreements for the System Support group.
  • Implements the plans and initiatives of System Support group.
  • Collects and maintains data regarding support issues and team performance.
  • Troubleshoots system issues
  • Tracks the progress of resolutions and regularly updates the Client with the status.
  • Conducts proactive system maintenance.
  • Prepares and maintains periodic reports for analysis.
  • Identifies areas for service and system improvements based on the data collected.
  • Recommends for system enhancements, if necessary.

3. People Management

  • Plans staffing levels.
  • Provides staff with clear roles, goals, and expectations.
  • Coaches, mentors, guides and develops staff. Analyzes their training needs.
  • Removes staff obstacles and ensure they are able to work as efficiently as possible.
  • Provides staff the tools and resources they need to do their jobs effectively.
  • Evaluates staff performance and provides effective performance feedback through employee recognition and disciplinary action.
  • Empowers staff by delegating responsibilities and holding them accountable for their actions.

4. Project Management

  • Prioritize department goals and the information needs of the business.
  • Defines project objectives, scope, plans, budgets, resources and risks.
  • Assembles project team members and assigns individual roles.
  • Manages all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.
  • Monitors adherence to set project standards and measures project performance.
  • Secures project closure signoff from the Product Owner.
  • Solicits service and product performance feedback from the Product Owner.
  • Develops action plans to improve product and service based from the feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field

Experience and Competency Requirements:

  • At least one year experience in business and system analysis, and design
  • At least one year experience in IT Service Management
  • At least one year experience in supporting business applications such as ERP, HRIS, CRM, etc.
