Job Description

Responsible for managing the finances of the handled school, which includes balancing budgets, preparing financial reports, keeping detailed financial records, and processing of employees' compensation.

Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis

  1. Prepare Journal Vouchers;
  2. Prepare Account schedules reconciled against financial statement submitted;
  3. Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial statement;

Disbursement Preparation

  1. Review disbursement request to determine completeness of required documentations before processing;
  2. Prepare APVs;
  3. Prepare Certificate of Creditable Withholding Tax;

Payroll Processing and Reports Preparation

  1. Review timesheets, approved leave and OB forms of staff and faculty;
  2. Compute and prepare payroll supported by the Payroll Register, Bank Debit Advice, PayCheck and Payslip;
  3. Transmit payslips for distribution and answer payroll queries.

Advances of Employees

  1. Review liquidation report;
  2. Real-time update and consistent follow-ups of liquidations;
  3. Non-issuance of further cheques for those with unliquidated advances;

Government Report

  1. Compute, submit and remit correct government remittances such as SSS, Pag-ibig, PhilHealth and withholding taxes;
  2. Prepare summary report of all government remittances.

Budget Management

  1. Review fund appropriation to ensure completeness of documentation before routing;
  2. Prepare and submit monthly Budget Monitoring Report;
  3. Assist in the preparation of annual budget.

Cash Reporting

  1. Review Monthly Revenue Reporting Package (MRRP) prepared by Cashier;
  2. Daily Cash Position Report (DCPR)
    1. Conduct daily cash count; surprise cash count of undeposited collections and petty cash fund;
    2. Check and review collection report (Daily Operating Report vs OR proof list) if there are variances;
    3. Prepare daily cash position report for submission;
  3. Bank Reconciliation
    1. Check collections to be deposited to the bank and compare it with bank validated deposit slip reflected in the passbook;
    2. Match cleared deposits and disbursement from Bank SOA vs Book records;
    3. Issue OR booklets to the Cashier according to need and maintain record documentation;
    4. Receive from the Cashier and safekeep all used Official Receipts booklets;
    5. Receive and safekeep the unused Official Receipts prior to its use by the Cashier;
    6. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.

Minimum Qualifications

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Accountung Technology

Experience and Competency Requirements:

  • With at least 1 year of related experience in general accounting
  • Must be knowledgeable in financial policies, accounting procedures, principles, and reporting system
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
