Job Description
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including MS Windows and Office, and across a range of software applications.
- Assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
- Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
- Accurately record, update and document requests using a ticketing system.
- Install and configure new IT equipment.
- Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.
- Resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners.
- Exhibit a flexible approach to working on a shifting schedule and provide necessary cover where needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows based operating systems to include servers and workstations, possess expertise using Microsoft Office Products.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DHCP, DNS.
- Knowledge of MS Exchange 2010.
- Knowledge of Virtualized environments, Terminal Service, Citrix, VMWare/Horizon VDI, Hyper-V, etc.
- Knowledge of SIP telephony, Cisco telephony.
- Knowledge of basic networking, VLANs, Wi-Fi.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- At least one (1) year relevant experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- ITIL certification preferred.
- Attendance and schedule adherence are requirements of this position.
- Flexible to working on a shifting schedule and provide necessary cover where needed.
- Ability to walk, bend and lift equipment up to 50 pounds and engage in labor-related duties of connecting computer equipment, and climbing up and down stairs and ladders.
