Healthcare Advisor R.N.  

As a Healthcare Advisor, your main job is to make sure that patients get the care that they need, when they need it, by the most cost effective means possible. This entails a wide variety of skill sets on behalf of the Healthcare Advisor. These skills are trained; You will be trained locally, and you'll be trained and supervised by higher-ups from the States that are internal to Star Business Centers, and external-.

Work will range from preliminary online and over-the-phone note taking for triage about patient ailments, to care coordination with pharmacies, hospitals, specialists, and other clinical partners in our network. Some teams deal with medical billing more than others. Some are more on the customer service and patient scheduling side of things. It all depends on how you test, and where HR feels you're best suited.

At minimum, we require nursing school graduates. We also require team members that are somewhat tech savvy. Star Business Centers is a partner of many health and medical tech startups in the San Francisco Bay Area, and are consequently a part of many beta programs for these tech companies. In our HR Team's experience, fresh grads tend to do better with newer tech than more experienced nurses. But we don't at all subscribe to this being a hard and fast rule.

We work with patients on the West Coast in the United States, so conversational American English is a must. You must also be willing to work shifting hours—day shift for a week, then night shift for a week. You have the option of negotiating with HR and your team leader as to the specific hours that you're specifically assigned. And of course, we accommodate requests for leave that are made well in advance.
