Job Description
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
- Perform coding to written technical specifications.
- Perform code maintenance and testing. To fix application issues and code irregularities. Build and maintain core PHP based applications.
- Develop web page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features.
- Design and develop relational database systems and their web interfaces.
- Integrate MySQL database with the PHP applications.
- Think critically, conduct research and creatively solve problems.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders and peers, and the ability to collaborate as a team.
- Adopt new skills and to help contribute to concepting digital experiences for clients and their brands.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other computer-related courses.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in developing, debugging, and optimizing PHP applications.
- Work with PHP frameworks and CMS applications such as WordPress, Drupal, Laravel, Yii, or Codeigniter.
- Knowledge of mobile web development optimization and responsive design.
- Experience with page speed testing and optimization techniques.
- In-depth working knowledge of JavaScript with and without frameworks like jQuery Familiarity with web standards, best practices, and current trends.
- Expertise with database concepts (MySQL).
- Strong knowledge of HTML (XHTML, HTML5), CSS, and XML.
- Implement standards-compliant cross-browser HTML/CSS. Knowledge of cross browser/platform nuances, and experience debugging them.
- Experience writing Unit Tests – TDD is a plus!
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
- General understanding of web technologies – HTTP, DNS, REST, AJAX.
- Familiarity working with common web data formats such as JSON or XML.
- Familiarity working in a Unix environment.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and non-technical team members.
- Can work fast and under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Must be willing to work in Makati area.
