- Work closely with the other members of the BI team to ensure a shared vision of the progression of the BI suite.
- Communicate with upper management for requirements gathering, fact checking, or presentation of the BI project’s progress, depending on your specific role in the development of the BI tools,
- Communicate internally to other departments within our enterprise in order to assess, gather, process, validate, and utilize data towards the established business objectives.
- Be self-driven and construct your own task queues based on the business requirements that you agreed upon.
- Communicate your work queue effectively to the rest of the BI team so as to prevent duplicated work or otherwise inefficient use of the team’s resources.
- Adopt a question-driven approach to problem solving:
- Assess the current business need.
- Analyze the available data.
- Construct questions that can be asked of that data.
- Formulate answers to these questions based on results of the scrubbed data.
- Validate these answers before presenting to internal work groups.
- Take the initiative to analyse the business environments around you.
- The most critical function of the BI suite and by extension, the BI team, is to identify shortcomings within our own internal processes and construct possible solutions so that operations and management do not have to identify them for us.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any related course.
- 3 years of experience in the field of Analytics.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of machine learning methodologies.
- Knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL / MySQL) or No SQL databases.
- Strong interest in the field of analytics.
- Excellent analytics, logical, problem-solving, and numeracy skills.
- Able to deal with various types of data such as CSV, Excel, etc.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and flexible.
- Independent personality who is interested in rural development and passionate about making a difference.
