NURSE MANAGER

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Adhere to SAMC, Nursing Service Division policies and procedures.
• Communicate information effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, required in-services, and other SAMC activities.
• A nurse manager is in charge of the nursing staff and works with patients and families of patients to provide assistance for health care.
• He/she is also responsible for processing various paperwork related to disciplinary actions of employees, updating patients’ medical records, insurance related documents etc.
• He/she assigns the duties of the nursing teams and helps them coordinate among themselves to provide the patient with proper medical care and attention.
• He/she perform research to remain up to date on the latest developments on nursing care practices.
• He/she also determines the individual needs of the patients and overall program needs for the health care facility.
• Overseeing the nursing department.
• Monitoring and recording the progress of patients for providing accurate reports.
• Preparing the work timetable for the nurses and monitoring their performance.
• Provide training to other nurses on patient care.
• Ensuring a positive working environment and cooperation among the different workers.
• He/she must make sure all the rules and guidelines are followed.

• Graduate of B.S. Nursing; Registered Nurse; has at least 2-3 years experience in a hospital setting.
• Master's degree is an advantage
• With Valid PRC Licence
• Willing to work in Bacoor, Cavite (Shifting Schedule)
