Job Description
- Checks, reviews, records and posts on a timely basis all financial transactions using NAVISION software and submits to the Finance Director all reports generated.
- Maintains systematic financial files each villages relative to NAVISION generated reports.
- Coordinates with the Village Bookkeepers to come up with accurate recording and bookkeeping.
- Conducts financial audits, verification, evaluation and analysis of data and accounts in the villages and attached facilities of SOS Children’s Villages Philippines.
- Coordinates with the external auditor and ensures audited Financial Statements and related documents required are delivered on or before the due date.
- Prepares accounting and financial reports on a regular basis.
- Processes Permits and Licenses required by the City Government and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- Prepares Variance Report of the National Office and Fund Development and Variance Summary.
- Coordinates with the assigned Villages in the budgeting process and encodes budget in NAVISION for approval of IO.
- Files CBR and other reports of assigned Villages and FD Official Receipts on a monthly basis
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of BS-Accountancy or any related course, CPA is an advantage
- Strong knowledge, with at least 2 to 3 years of general accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality and timeliness
- Ability to work in fast-paced team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 2 Full-Time positions available
- Willing to work in Muntinlupa
- Knowledge/experience in any Accounting/Financial Software

In 1949, Hermann Gmeiner founded the first SOS Children’s Village in Tyrol, Austria. He was a child welfare worker, and he saw how children suffered and were left orphaned as a result of World War II. He pioneered the family-based approach to helping children who have lost parental care.
Today, we are located in 134 countries and territories around the world. Our 571 SOS Children’s Villages are home to most of the approximately 86,000 children and young adults in our family-based care program. We also work in the communities to provide support and intervention to families at risk of breaking down. More than 467,000 people participate in our family strengthening programs.
In the Philippines, the first SOS Children’s Village was founded on May 1, 1967 in the province of Batangas. Now we have 8 villages spread across the country, and there are almost 1,200 children and young adults who live in our family-based care program. In the communities, we give support and intervention to approximately 2,100 families.
