Plastic Injection Molding Engineer  

Field of Responsibility:

• Responsible for the Production of plastic parts
• Responsible for Quality of the Plastic Parts and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)
• Responsible for Process Improvements in the Production
• Responsible for Optimization of all the Processes in Plastic and LSR Production

Job:

• Tracking and initiating innovative developments (research) in plastic mould design and productions
• Doing research on technologies, materials and competitive developments.
• Consult with Lead Engineer and colleagues internally to discuss needs and ideas.
• Generate multiple concepts based on ideas/desires.
• Eliminate concepts based on Decision Matrixes / Experiments.
• Identify requirements for mechanical parts and contribute to test specifications.
• Risk analysis for the product (Design and Process FMEA).
• Determining the Product Design through drawings and other relevant documentation.
• Selecting materials, processes and components.
• Verification of product and technical design based on standards with respect to inspection and certification.
• Verification of Product performance and reliability according to requirements.
• Verify capability of tools for mass production based on measurement reports, Cpk and various tests.
• To be responsible for maintaining good housekeeping 5S, proper teamwork and coordination between all other department in achieving the compliance of the company’s Quality and Environmental Management System.

Others:

• Advising Technical product Managers, Key Account Managers, Heads of Development in market demands, requirements, etc.
• Support the Pre-production at the start of the manufacturing process.
• Responsible for work in the department, including development of process diagrams and associated instructions.
• Responsible for building and maintaining documentation for managing product quality, including the parameter card and validation documentation
• To perform any other duties as assigned by your superior(s) from time to time.
• Assist in creating and maintaining the documentation for managing product quality and documentation

• At least a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position and must be knowledgeable in how the different facet of injection molding works especially Arburg Injection Machines.
  • Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in Engineering-Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
  • At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• General Knowledge in, injection molding, manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.

• Fundamental electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge
• Working knowledge of implementing molding processes (troubleshooting, resources management, resins handling, injection molding parameters, cooling system parameters, etc.), multi-cavity-tool molds and hot runner systems.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
• Scientific skills:
  • General knowledge of mould features design keys, and how they induce changes in the molding process and part manufacturability.
  • Able to develop process and machine capability studies
  • Knowledge of Robot and End-of-Arm Tooling
  • Experience of any 3D - 2D software package, as well as any Injection molding software package (preferably Moldflow), with ability to interpret the results.
  • Contribute to the development of new products, using process expertise.
  • Knowledge of statistics and Six Sigma methodology is a plus.
