IT Software Specialist  

The IT Software Specialist will be in charge of the maintenance and management of our existing cloud-based systems. They should be well versed or keen to learn about the way these software work in order to assess and prevent issues, coordinate or implement changes to optimize the software, and train others if necessary. They will also be in charge of monitoring the performance of these cloud-based software using our server monitoring tools through Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.

In addition to this, they will play a vital role in the numerous software implementations we are undertaking. Our IT Software Specialist should have very strong project management and organization skills as well as the ability to understand implementation requirements from both a software implementor’s perspective as well as a retailer’s perspective. Communication skills are also vital as these projects involve numerous points of contact across numerous companies and partners.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor performance of software using Google Cloud and AWS tools. Coordinate with our cloud partners for environment optimizations and improvements

• Maintenance and management of POS software, Various E-commerce platforms, Salesforce CRM and more.

• Investigate/research new software that will improve company performance

• Prepare insight reports as needed

• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

• Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related course

• At least 5 years relevant experience

• Very strong project management skills

• Experience with retail software such as CRMs, POSs, ERPs, and E-Commerce platforms are very beneficial

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Fast learner

• Highly motivated and detail oriented

• Amenable to work beyond working hours

• Programming experience and API knowledge is a very big plus
