Job Description
- Answers to the Technical Manager
- Configures hardware, software and/ or design application requirements of products offered to customers to meet customer specifications
- Supports sales force as a technical expert during sales negotiations and customer visits
- Conduct product demonstration and proof of concept to client
- Resolves basic system installation requirements and application design issues offering technical solutions according to customer’s requirements
- Ensures timely completion of the system engineering tasks within budget, deadline and customer requirements
- Provides the basic engineering concept
- Responsible for pre-engineering site inspection and site surveys and identifies customer’s purchasing requirements, technical specifications
- Provides engineering expertise to the basic customer requirements
- Conducts technical solution assessment and process technical solutions and implementation strategies according to customer requirement
- Project management and supervision
- Generation of description and technical documentation for the client
- Undertakes pre-/post-sales service tasks such as installation, testing, calibration, commissioning, and maintenance service inquiries. Troubleshooting may require deviation from standard screens, scripts and procedures
- Supports emergency service and preparation of emergency work around solutions
- Locate, performs and assists in preventive and corrective maintenance and in the preparation of electrical and mechanical equipment following work plan and maintenance manuals
- Installs, checks and repairs equipment prior, during and after installation
- Diagnoses problem area and provides remedies for malfunction
- Recommends new business tools for customers/ coordinates/ recommends and improves service/installation solutions and processes
- Supports new and existing customer base in service/installation questions and guarantees efficient technical problem solving to customers
- Maintain professional relations with customers during the technical cycle and ensure responsive customer service; investigate and respond to customer’s technical product questions or needs through proper channels
- Keep abreast of new product introductions, technological/industry advances, and market/territory development
- Maintain liaison with principals for technical solutions
