Job Description
The Civil Design Engineer is responsible for all company projects that require project site developments.
- Supervise all pre-design duties and pre-design surveys
- Participate in project meetings
- Site inspection for solar farm projects
- Prepare technical reports
- Provide civil design feasibilities of projects
- Provide cost-effective civil designs
- Perform civil design calculations using advance software technologies like cvil 3d, Autocad and other softwares and should be familiar with the governing codes for civil design like DPWH, AASHTO, ASTM, and other standard references
- Site development layout plans
- Road layout plans
- Drainage layout plans
- Waterlayout plans
- Slope protection plans
- Civil design drawing supervision, reviews and checking from CAD
- Collaboration with other departments on civil design concerns
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Civil Engineer
- Experienced in designing buildings, roads, drainage, foundation pads
- Experienced in designing transmission poles and foundation is preferred
- Experienced in designing Solar Plant Structure is preferred
- Must be proficient in STAAD
- Must be knowledgeable in NSCP Code, ASCE, UBC-ASD, LRFD, AISI
- Preferably knowledgeable with AutoCAD
- Well verse in designing the whole structure both substructure and superstructure considering the followings:
- Wind Forces
- Seismic Forces
- Soil Bearing Capacity
- Willing to travel regionally, depending on project location to conduct site inspection
