Job Description

Function: To organize, oversee, and ensure completion of all projects on time, to the budget and to the Company quality standards.

Reports to: Head, Engineering, Procurement and Construction

Key Relationships: Internal relationships will be with Procurement, Design and Engineering as well as the Project Development group. External relationships include Clients, Government agencies, LGUs on occasion, and some key suppliers

Focus Capabilities:

  • Engage in a range of approaches to generate solutions, seeking expert inputs and advice
  • Ensure business plan goals are clear and appropriate including contingency provisions
  • Monitor progress of initiatives and make necessary adjustments
  • Anticipate and assess the impact of changes, such as government policy/economic conditions, to business plans and initiatives, and respond appropriately and accordingly
  • Undertake planning to transition the organisation through change initiatives and evaluate progress and outcome to inform future planning
  • Initiate and develop longer-term goals and plans to guide the work of the team in line with organizational objectives
  • Assist others to address emerging challenges and risks and generate support for change initiatives

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Over-all supervision for all projects to be executed in a defined format and to maintain company cost and profit targets
  • Main area of accountability is the delivery of each project, overseen by the Project Management Office, to time, cost and quality targets
  • Oversees coordination of personnel and resources required to successfully complete projects
  • Manage coordination across projects, ensuring effective communication relating to project deliverables, risks and issues
  • Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project leaders and other members of the team
  • Provide coaching, training and support to enhance project management capability to achieve goals as necessary
  • Ensures that all personnel on the project perform their roles to attain these objectives.
  • Responsible for all interfaces with stakeholders including clients/lenders/off-takers and all remaining stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, preferably a post graduate qualification in Project Management or Business Management
  • Engineering License is required for this role
  • More than fifteen (15) years of experience as a Project Manager of large engineering projects (Power / Utilities / Petrochemical)
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches
  • Budget, cost and profitability management skills
  • Knowledge of resource management tools
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture
  • Team Leadership & Development: Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others
  • Facilitation, Negotiation & Problem Resolution Skills: Ability to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with technology and solutions, customers and vendor groups
  • Resilient and resourceful
  • Computer literate and is knowledgeable with project management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
