Job Description
The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing programs for the successful implementation of Solar Philippines Solar Farm Projects and/or commercial rooftop projects as required.
The Planning Engineer ensures that SP has a realistic and achievable plan to execute the works on time, to budget and meet the required levels of quality. The role holder is expected to deliver clear and concise programs at all levels (level 1, 2, & 3) to enable the project manager and all related staff to design, procure, install, and test & commission the equipment required by the relevant specifications of the project.
- Decides the order in which the sequence of each activity will occur and the duration of each activity.
- Establishes proper timelines for activities based on experience of similar activities undertaken in the past or research conducted.
- Coordinates with staff in each discipline to confirm the sequence of events and duration of the activities.
- Reviews the contracts for the works to establish what commitments SP has undertaken to deliver the works.
- The role will be based at the project site or on occasion, based in head office.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a an Electrical Engineer (Registered Electrical Engineer)
- 6 years of work experience as a planner on major projects such as power generation or petro-chemical installations is preferred.
- Required language(s): English, Filipino
- Willing to be assigned in Makati and other sites if necessary
- Full-Time position(s) available.
