Job Description

  • This position is responsible for the effective management of employee relations, and compensation and benefits by conceptualizing, designing, planning and implementing employee relations, retention, pay and motivation programs and systems to ensure the maintenance of highly motivated, productive and disciplined workforce committed to achieving the company’s productivity, profitability and growth objectives.
  • Decides on relevant people-management concerns and needs of his department (hiring, pay, discipline, etc), in consultation with his superior.
  • Decides on administrative concerns of the assigned functions.
  • Formulates policies and systems relative to pay administration, benefits administration, employee welfare, personnel administration (timekeeping, performance evaluation, etc.), employee discipline, rewards and incentives, and, employee relations.
  • Oversees the proper conduct and implementation of employee relations programs that provide adequate services to employees and address their needs while at the same time promote productive management-employee relations.
  • Oversees the establishment and maintenance of an efficient records management system and employee information services ensuring completeness and accuracy of records.
  • Provides counseling particularly concerning employee discipline and ensures that discipline is internalized and positive work attitude is enhanced.
  • Ensures the effective planning and implementation of staff communications programs to support the reinforcement of company values and culture.
  • Plans, communicates and oversees implementation of the overall directions of the ERCB department and ensures deliverables are met on time and according to customer requirements.
  • Leads subordinates in the proper and effective implementation of established policies, standards, processes and systems to ensure that employees and internal clients needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Prepares departmental budget and monitors departmental expenses within the approved budget.
  • Performs various admin-related office work and ensure their efficient processes and workflow.
  • Trains, coaches and develops staff by conducting regular communication meetings, in-house, and on-the-job training, coaching and counseling, and other developmental activities to improve individual skills and competence, and promote teamwork
  • Creates a work environment and team culture that is conducive to the pursuit of work excellence by setting challenging performance goals and directions with the staff, supporting them in carrying out their duties, and providing recognition and reward for excellent performance and consistent emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Observes established office safety and health standards, and procedures/regulations in carrying out duties and responsibilities.
  • Performs other job-related duties that may be assigned by superior from time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College Graduate. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Business Administration, and other related courses; a Masters degree is an advantage
  • Must have people handling and management experience.
