Job Description

  • The MV/HV Engineer is responsible for managing, implementing, and supervising of the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment and appurtenances of a solar farm MV/HV Installation, including but not limited to, unit substation, switchgear, switchyard, transmission lines, and associated control and protection system, ensuring that all planned activities proceed as per approved timeline.
  • Produces technical working documents, specifications and methodology/procedure relative to the MV/HV requirements of a solar farm power generating facility
  • Drafts technical specifications for medium and high voltage equipment such as ring main units, transformers, switchgear, transformers, overhead transmission lines, protection, and control system including associated devices/equipment
  • Drafts tenders for purchase requisition to suppliers and product price comparison as the basis of concerned department for ordering
  • Coordinates with logistics in the monitoring of ordered material/equipment to ensure timely delivery and installation
  • Coordinates and oversees project team and sub-contractors for the installation, testing & commissioning of MV/HV electrical equipment and transmission lines and ensures that engineering projects are completed as per plan and schedule, meeting quality & safety objectives
  • Documents and maintains a record on the progress of project installation including specifications of delivered equipment and testing performed
  • Provides appropriate and timely technical advice on matters relating to MV/HV installation and transmission lines
  • Updates drawings to reflect as-built conditions
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in the design, installation, and implementation of MV/HV substation and transmission line. Those with actual engagement in any RE company or project, particularly in Solar PV is preferred.
  • Willing to work in Makati
  • Available to start immediately
  • Possesses knowledge in electrical standards, practice, and relevant codes in the country pertaining to the installation of MV/HV power generating facilities
