Job Description
- Work alongside the sales department and the product development team to generate ideas and create promotions
- Identify potential markets, prepare cost estimates for campaigns, and market products to various businesses
- Conduct consumer and market research (consumer surveys, consumer intercept research, etc.)
- Measure promotions effectiveness and optimize if necessary
- Plan campaigns and launch events for samples, gifts, discounts, rebates, coupons, sweepstakes, and contests
- Send promotions through various channels such as direct mail, inserts in newspapers, online advertisements, in-store displays, product endorsements, or other special events
- Use social media sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook for product promotions
- Oversee media buying
- Work with account executives to come up with ad campaigns, select agencies to partner with and approve agency plans
- Work with in-house creative and production staff, coordinate staff members who create and deliver ads, and present campaigns during pitches
Minimum Qualifications
- At least five (7) years professional experience in marketing or any related field as required
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, commerce or equivalent is required
- Must have strong skills in brand management, public relations, product advertising, retail marketing, digital media and event management for technical products and services
- Knowledgeable in sales promotion - planning, implementation, and cost-effectiveness monitoring
- Must have superior communication skills, both written and oral
- Can write PRs and make print ads
- Knowledge in a photo and video editing software is a plus
- Possesses strong leadership and people management skills; analytical, driven, inventive and resourceful
