Wholesale Business Manager  

Job Objectives

The Wholesale Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company’s wholesale division. He/she oversees all aspects of this division, including inventory management, sales strategies, and more.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as a leading company member, reporting to the Wholesale Business Director, with ownership of the company’s overall sales strategy, wholesale member relations, reporting structure, and future scaling roadmap.
• Responsible for selling merchandise and meeting wholesale member needs while obtaining orders from existing and potential clients of a specific area
• Manage a portfolio of wholesale accounts to achieve long-term success
• Develop strong relationships with wholesale members and work collaboratively with them to identify new business opportunities
• Generate new business using existing and potential wholesale member networks
• Constantly review and analyze the key sales trends and target member feedback to ensure the company is meeting their needs and expectations
• Understand wholesale member needs and requirements, and communicate these internally to ensure the development that meets their demands
• Develop, refine, and execute the repeatable sales process, reporting, and forecasting sales pipeline.
• Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by developing and executing an effective account plan
• Meet with the Wholesale Director regularly to discuss performance reviews and goal-setting sessions with direct reports
• Create and maintain an efficient and effective wholesale operations infrastructure, including but not limited to order processing, member service, logistics, and accounting
• Define, design, and implement a creative visual and virtual merchandising strategy with the Wholesale Director and Media Content Manager. Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends, and know your competition (walk them for ideas)
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations

Educational Background: Graduate of any 4-year course
Work Experience: With more than 5 years of experience in Wholesale management, sales, or related role

• Effective communication skills that can help build trust, develop relationships, and resolve issues with solid negotiation and presentation skills
• Leadership skills can help motivate the team and encourage them to work together to achieve company goals.
• Effective problem-solving skills - A wholesale manager must solve problems and find solutions to challenges. They should find the best way to overcome obstacles and ensure success. Effective problem-solvers should identify the cause of a problem and find a solution that works
• Time management skills - The ability to plan and execute tasks within a set time frame. As a wholesale manager, you may oversee multiple projects at once, so it’s important to prioritize tasks and manage time accordingly.
