Job Description

The responsibilities associated with this position include:

  • SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE
    • Spearheads the identification, analysis and documentation of the information / data needs of the business startegy and translating these into the SNAP Group Data Architecture in order to promote better data confidentiality, integrity, availability and quality. Ensures the continual review and upkeep of the SNAP Group Data Architecture.
    • Spearheads the development and maintenance of the SNAP Group Application Architecture which provides a firm guidance in the solution identification, selection, development and implementation of information systems across SNAP Group. The Application Architecture helps to ensure harmonization and maximization of various information systems investments at the same time promote business process efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Supports the development of the SNAP Group Technology Architecture by identifying the current and future technology roadmap which ensures optimized use of IT investments at thte same time ensure business continuity and resiliency against disasters and other IT risks;
    • Executes risk treatment activities that may be identified as applications undergo the different application phases;
    • Supports the development and adoption of Enterprise Architecture framework and practices across SNAP Group.
  • SYSTEMS PLANNING
    • Provides technical expertise in the area of information systems, digitalization and automation by working with the Business Process team and various business users during process reviews and process improvement planning activities;
    • Assist the Project Manager by providing technical expertise and guidance during the planning phase of Information Systems projects.
  • SYSTEMS ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
    • Leads the project team in the analysis and translation of business requirements into the corresponding data, application and technical specifications;
    • Leads the project team in identifying and analyzing potential solutions based on the defined data, application and technical specifications and architecture;
    • Leads the project team in conducting the technical evaluation of candidate solutions and recommends best option considering cost efficiency, systems integration and maximum utilization of existing IT investments and resources.
  • SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTIONS
    • Manages the application development and / or configuration activities as well as resources both in-house and 3rd party, in order to ensure the successful delivery of application development and application maintenance requirements within the allocated budget and timelines;
    • Ensures the compliance of application development activities to the IT Solution Development standards;
    • Ensures the quality of application development / configuration output based on business requirements, information security, system stability and maintainability.
  • SYSTEMS TRANSITION
    • Leads the technical planning, preparation and execution of activities related to the transition phase such as but not limited to Systems Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, End-User Training and Cut-over / Go-Live activities;
    • Leads the technical coordination with 3rd party entities involved in the transition phase.
  • SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE
    • Ensures the consistent and quality delivery of outsourced technical services including but not limited to systems design, construction, transition and maintenance by 3rd party entities;
    • Spearheads the review and planning of Information System upgrades and patching;
    • Ensures the completeness, availability and relevance of required technical documentation and references.
  • INTERNAL IT PROCESSES AND RESOURCES
    • Develops, promotes and maintains the IT Solution Development (ITSD) standards and methodology;
    • Manages the application development and Systems Administration teams;
    • Ensures the continuous availability and sufficiency of application development and systems administration resources by aligning with current and future business needs;
    • Ensures the technical services are delivered within the Service Level Agreements and Service Level Commitments;
    • Develops, monitors and reports the section's yearly plans and budget.

Minimum Qualifications

  • With 3 to 5 years expertise on Data and Application Architecture, Systems and Solutions Design, Implementation, Transition and Maintenance;
  • With 3 to 5 years experience in a managerial role handling application development or application maintenance teams;
  • At least 5 years leadership experience handling and completing projects (e.g. ERP Implementation, Business Systems development and Integration)
  • Must be an expert in Information Systems Architecture (Analysis and Design, Development and Implementation, Standardization and Integration)
  • Must be an expert in Business Solutions Development (ERP Systems, CRM, Front-End Systems0;
  • Must demonstrate above average ability in critical thinking, systems thinking, project management innovation, problem solving and decision-making, people management, communication and negotiation
  • Collaborative, open-minded, resilient and agile
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Able to work on own initiative and be a self-starte, prioritizing work with minimum supervision;
  • Must be committed to self-development and be enthusiastic about acquiring new skills and embracing new technologies.
  • Good interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with internal customers, suppliers and other stakeholders;
  • Must be able to supervise and motivate others;
  • Demonstrable experience of managing third party service providers

WHO WE ARE SN Aboitiz Power Group or SNAP is the collective name of the power generation arm (SN Aboitiz Power-Magat, Inc. and SN Aboitiz Power-Benguet, Inc.) and power retailing arm (SN Aboitiz Power-RES, Inc.) of the business. WHAT WE DO Magat Hydro is one of the largest hydro facilities in Luzon, with a gross maximum capacity of 388 MW. It draws water from the Magat River through the multipurpose Magat Dam. Under the power restructuring law, the power facility was privatized in 2006. Following the successful bid of US$530 million, SNAP took over operations on April 26, 2007. The 8.5-MW Maris Hydro is the first power plant constructed by SNAP. Construction of the PHP2.5 billion run-of-river hydro plant took about two years—it broke ground in late 2015 and was completed in November 2017. Maris hydro utilizes water coming from Magat hydro. At its original capacity of 75 MW, Ambuklao Hydro was one of the first large hydroelectric power plants in the Philippines and is one of the oldest. In 2008, SNAP took over Ambuklao and the 100-MW Binga Plant after a winning bid of US$325 million under the privatization program. Ambuklao hydro re-operated in 2011 as a 105-MW power plant following its rehabilitation and upgrading. Binga Hydro was built in 1960 and lies 19 kilometers downstream of its sister facility, Ambuklao. It was bid out along with Ambuklao; but only the power components were privatized while the dams remain government-owned. Binga hydro underwent a refurbishment which began in 2010 and was completed in 2013. This increased the plant’s capacity from 100-125 MW. It is now capable of generating 140 MW after further uprating. With the advent of open access in the Philippines, customers with a monthly average peak demand of 750kW and above can choose a Retail Electricity Supplier through the Open Access market. SNAP-RES was formed into the group for the Retail Electricity Market. SNAP-RES continues to serve the needs of Contestable Customers by focusing on the requirements of each industry and delivering innovative solutions for each customer profile since 2011.
