Job Description

Job Purpose:

Provides operational support to the assigned category. Manages assigned requests by the Operational Lead and works closely with the end-user to clearly define specifications and requirements. Identifies and negotiates the best price with suppliers that are capable of providing the requirement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Purchase Request Processing

  • Assist the internal stakeholders in defining their specifications of products and services.
  • Initiate discussions validate and confirms details of requirements received from various business units.

Sourcing, Negotiations, and Savings

  • Identify and deploy the best strategy for conducting competitive biddings such as a request for information, proposal, and quotation.
  • Advises business units of revisions and recommended changes to rectify and/or amend details of the tender documents required.
  • Evaluate the bid results, analyze the cost, and make recommendations to the management.
  • Prepares initial recommendation on tendered items.
  • In charge of commercial term negotiation (price, payment terms, and more).
  • Negotiates applicable commercial terms with qualified suppliers, service providers and contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain the best price and service.
  • Track savings of negotiations

Purchase Order Processing

  • Creates Purchase Orders using the Procurement System.
  • Respond to internal and external customers inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations
  • Monitor Purchase Orders and delivery of the procured items

Other Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
  • Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.
  • Prepare reports and updates as and when required.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management or Logistics courses.
  • Have 2 to 3 years of experience working in Procurement handling Fixed Assets and store equipments.
  • Preferably with knowledge and experience in the use of any eProcurement System (such as Oracle, SAP, Ariba, etc.)
  • Preferably with good to advance skills in MS Office applications specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willing to be work at Head Office, Pasay City.
