An amazing opportunity is open now to join the Lubd Hostel Group as the opening Hostel Manager for our soon to open 222 bed hostel in Makati. You will be opening the largest hostel in Philippines, the 5th Lubd Hostel to open in South East Asia, and with out a doubt the most exciting hostel opening in Philippines in 2017!

We are looking for an individual who is extremely passionate about creating amazing traveller experiences, loves interacting with our travellers, wants to build and develop a team who work from the heart, care about the community you are working in, and actively drive the revenues of the business.

The Hostel Manager will oversee all aspects of hostel’s operations in accordance with company mission and vision including maximisation of traveller satisfaction and achieving high levels of standards within the hostel. For the pre-opening period, you will work closely with the COO of Lubd as your direct report, supporting the recruitment of team members, developing and executing training as required for the team, set up the hostel for opening in the timelines given, and support pre-opening sales & marketing initiatives to drive business to the hostel.

Overall

• Manage strategy, implementation, in particular regarding budgets and timelines
• Advise the Management Team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions
• Establish operational (Manual) processes / process improvement and tied to long-term goals
• Develop annual budgets and capex each year according to timelines
• Produce reports and programs as designated by the corporate office

Financial

• Ensure budget control of all expenses, drive revenues, and create monthly reports
• Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for Lubd Philippines - Makati

Traveller Satisfaction

• Demonstrate and promote the lubd key aspects commitment to providing the best possible traveller experience
• Ensures that all guest related issues and resolved in a manner consistent with the company’s goals and objectives
• Inspects and documents repairs and cleanliness of properties to ensure optimum upkeep and repair, room cleanliness and overall property appearance
• Spend time with the travellers in the hostel promoting Lubd and supporting activities and experiences on a day to day basis

Team Management

• Communicates all policies and procedures to entire team. Conducts regular meetings to provide various information including company communications, policy reviews, local property activities, and goals
• Motivates and gives direction to all employees and promotes the lub d key aspects
• Mentors and develops Pre-opening team, provides learning opportunities by assigning new tasks responsibilities; evaluates the team strengths and weaknesses and provides training and on the job tasks to prepare career path for GM opportunities
• Develop KPI's for the team in accordance with the corporate office.

We are looking for a genuine, dynamic, hospitality individual who may have experience working in hostels before, but must have worked in hotels / hostels in a senior management position for at least 6 years. This position is a local package only. Position is open to an amazing Filipino Leader, but will consider an exceptional expat who is willing to work on a local package.
