Job Description

The Operations & Logistics Manager role is a unique and critical opportunity to help Skybed grow as we develop and optimize our travel platform. In this critical role you will be in charge of continually improving the clients experience by working with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and customer experience, while constantly minimizing business cost and streamlining the operational processes. You will lead and develop our operational services for airline flights, travel services and as we foray into experiential travel. You will proactively identify and implement solutions to constantly improve our service levels and performance based on established metrics. You will use the Company’s systems and applications to track and measure clients, improve operational efficiency and optimize client service delivery and customer resolution.

The ideal person for this role is excited about working in an entrepreneurial start-up environment, is ready to hustle, and wants to be part of shaping how we make day-to-day and long term strategic decisions that have a direct impact on the business. You should have previous experience in operations. Start-up operations is a big plus.

Skybed connects travelers and suppliers to offer our Skybed Deals (Unpublished Airline deals in Business Class) and Skybed Experiences. With the information overload to the logistical pain points travelers experience from selecting the flights, to picking the hotel, from how to get there, what to do and where to eat, Skybed is the company scouring the globe to curate the information and booking experience for our travelers and is adding a human element for when you need it the most. We are currently looking for candidates to join our growing team who share our enthusiasm for tackling today’s toughest challenges in Travel and are looking to make an impact. We aren’t your typical travel company.

You will be one of the first operations employees on our team and will be an integral voice in our growth and strategy. Job #1 for you is to help manage and grow our operations - a big task that will require you to work within the team. We need someone who is willing to take on multiple task and strategic projects. We’ll need your help and leadership on to help build this business from the ground up.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year relevant work experience at a travel agency with operational experience.
  • Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably in Tourism, Travel, and Leisure or its equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable of GDS system (i.e Amadeus or Sabre). Pls indicate which system you are familiar with.
  • High level of analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Great attention to detail, time management, Multi-tasker
  • Computer savvy. Well-versed in Microsoft Office and GDS system.
  • Familiar with various project management tools (i.e. Asana & Slack).
  • Able to persuade and coordinate with various travel suppliers and partners to be able to get the best deals for our clients.
  • Comfortable with finding better ways to do things and be able to track everything you do.
  • Comfortable in writing and speaking the English language.
  • Willing to work remotely and some night shifts.
  • Willing to work immediately.
  • Accounting and Finance knowledge a plus
