Job Description

What does Slidegenius do?

Slidegenius is the premier global Presentation Design Agency with over 100+ employees. Our team of designers provides presentation design solutions to over 3,000 clients including Adidas, Reebok, Facebook, Blizzard, Delta Airlines, NASCAR, JP Morgan, and many more. We work with clients both big and small, providing us with new and exciting projects every day. In addition to PowerPoint, we offer a wide array of print services.

What the heck is a Project Manager?

An SG Interactive Project Manager is responsible for ensuring positive communication and coordination of SG Interactive’s products and services through effective project management, strong organizational techniques, and superior communication

Key Responsibilities?

The Project Manager is expected to be the liaison between US and Asia creative design teams and ensures that all projects are delivered accurately and on time:

  • Communicates with both the graphic designers and Presentation Managers.
  • Works closely with the Presentation Managers to delegate and assign projects to designers based on current workload and designer expertise and skills.
  • Collaborates with design team and Presentation Managers to ensure that designers have the tools and materials necessary to successfully complete the project.
  • Helps designers interpret instructions
  • Addresses issues/concerns immediately with designers and Presentation Managers
  • Maintains an ongoing project timeline that charts the status of all approved design projects and designer performance.
  • Develops monthly, weekly and daily execution plans for client projects.
  • Works closely with copywriter to answer questions and provide assistance.
  • Follows projects from creation to final production, including sign-off on proof reviews and client approvals.
  • Reviews that instructions were followed and ensures that content is correct for all client projects
  • Oversees that the designers follow the 5 Golden Quality Control Principles: Follow directions, Accuracy, Critical thinking, Design expectation, and Time management.
  • Meets with the management team to consistently improve business practices between US and Asia.
  • Assists with internal projects on an as-needed basis

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Real-time updating of Creative Workload
  • Setting up projects in Harvest when needed
  • Ensures Asia designers’ timesheets are accurate
  • Monitors timeline and ensures deadlines are met
  • Uploads or ensures designers upload client projects in Dropbox or Slack
  • Notifies Presentation Manager on issues and when projects are complete/submitted

Overall Job Specific Competencies

  • Project Tasks & Activities: Knowledge of project processes, tools, techniques, and theory behind servicing the organization’s products or services.
  • Knowledge of Customers & Sales Channels: Knowledge of customer’s business operations and the ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for managing the organization’s products and services to each.
  • Knowledge of Product Line: Strong knowledge of products and associated development process and design strategy.

Daily Workflow

  • Check workload and ensure everyone currently in the office has worked.
  • Read all emails and take note of what's urgent.
  • Create a list of things to accomplish before EOD (to-do list)
  • Receive projects from US Management Team and assist the Project Manager in delegating assignments to designers
  • Discuss specific project concerns with US Management Team and/or designers
  • Review and proof completed projects before submitted to US
  • Continue to address designer questions/concerns throughout the day
  • Update Creative Workload and Harvest throughout the day and as needed.
  • Meet with Presentation Managers to see what else needs to go out, and set up the workload for tomorrow.
  • Set aside time to assist in internal projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

What sort of Qualification do I need?

  • 1 to 3 years of business experience.
  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and objection handling skills
  • Prior experience and knowledge in Project Management software and or technology solutions desirable.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of an agency is desirable
  • Ability to work with management, colleagues, and customers throughout the business and industry at every level
  • Key attributes (IE; entrepreneurial self-starter, ambitious personality, accountable and action-oriented, etc.)
  • Willing to work on a graveyard shift, shifting schedule and weekends

Must-Have:

  • Great organizational skills
  • Customer service/communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Calendar, Spreadsheets, WebEx/GoTo Meeting (a plus)
  • Must be a team player and gets along with others easily
