Job Description
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business drivers to identify the needs for process and system improvements, and to understand requirements and deliver/promote technical solutions as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures that include:
- Application Support Procedures
- System and Technical Configuration Documentation
- User Training for new systems and/ or modules
- Provide technical expertise and project management in the development of new and existing applications including:
- Assessment of the requirements of new workflows, and determine whether these are required
- Liaise with suppliers on issues pertaining to routine and Ad-hoc processes
- Maintenance, technical support and development
- Seek, understand, and translate business operational process needs into ‘improvement specifications’ for the restaurant business or new application development
- In-charge with interface management and ensure interfaces with other applications and third party products work.
- Work with suppliers and customers to ensure that existing applications are optimised to meet business requirements.
- Work with suppliers and customers to implement new applications or new modules within existing applications.
- Identify suitable new and emerging technologies, develop business cases & coordinate proof of concepts
- Provide support outside core hours for extended support during project implementations when required by the business, and support for severity level 1 concerns.
- To manage and develop data integrity and security standards for the systems, co-coordinating requests for access within agreed parameters.
- To organise regular meetings with system users to maintain a working awareness of their service operations.
- Manage and plan a schedule for the safe introduction of new releases/ patches to meet service requirements.
- Ensure change control for all core business applications and ensure thorough System/ UAT testing prior to a full and controlled release of an enhancement.
- Embody an analytical approach in resolving problems.
- Keep abreast of emerging and relevant technologies to the restaurant business.
- Keep a proactive approach to continuous improvement & innovation.
- Manage the Applications Team.
- Other functions relevant to management and use of core applications and other minor utilities and customized/ corporate developments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Background should be either Computer Science, Business Ad, IT, Industrial Engineering
- Experience in implementing IT applications for a similar sized organisation and environment
- Experience of administratiin and support for ERP system
- Experience in Project management through a project management life cycle
- Understanding of Finance systems and processes
- Understanding of infrastructure and networks
- Capable of analytical and diagnostic functions to find new solutions to difficult IT and business problems.
- Ability to work with 3rd party support organisations to deliver a high level of service to internal users.
- Capable to liaise with both internal customers and external companies at all levels in an efficient manner
- Experience of Business process Improvement aligned to support IT implementations
- Has experience with people management
