Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team.

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of a robust testing framework.

Responsibilities

Test Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy for manual and automated testing
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand project requirements and design effective test plans.

Automated Testing

• Lead the transition to automated testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Work closely with developers to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct thorough quality assurance assessments of new features and enhancements.
• Identify and document defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

Collaboration and Communication

• Participate in the scoping, testing and technical design during scrum events. Ensure product scenarios are covered so that quality is ensured throughout
• Work with the development team to deliver features needed within the scope of the product team, and meet the team’s definition of done
• Work with the product owner to fully understand product direction and vision
• Occasionally present features / progress to stakeholders during sprint reviews and gather feedback

Performance Testing

• Implement performance testing strategies to ensure the scalability and responsiveness of our software applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a startup environment.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance and load testing
• Experience with security testing best practices.
• Previous experience in transitioning a manual testing process to automation.
