Job Description
- Manage cash flow and forecasting. Ensure that billing and collection schedules are documented and prepared in a timely manner
- Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries and preparation of Financial Statements
- Prepare and submit required reports to Partners
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
- Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the Firm
- Assist in Tax preparation and filing, and month-end account closing activities as well as perform account reconciliations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to have a holistic and better understanding of operations (simultaneous engagements between different departments)
- Innovate process solutions to ensure efficiency and maintain internal controls for compliance
- As part of the support staff, engage in cross functional working groups to improve best practices and processes
- Supervise accounting staff and take responsibility over the accuracy of their accounts
- Provide oversight and direction to the team in accordance with the Firm's procedures.
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Empower employees to take responsibilities for the jobs and goals. Delegate responsibilities and expect accountability and regular feedback.
- Maintain transparent communication within the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- At least 5 years of experience in General Accounting preferably from big four accounting firms.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making and data entry skills
- Above average verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Effective planning, organizational, stress, and time management skills
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work within a team
