Job Description

The Sales and marketing position is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties.
Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc
Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet
Meets with clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Analyzes and controls expenditures of sales team to conform to budgetary requirements
Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience
At least 2 years of related experience in sales and marketing
