Job Description
- Maintain and control the monthly renewal lists of businesses with the purpose of monitoring high percentage of conservation or renewal of existing accounts.
- Evaluate various requests for quoatations for proper rating purposes of Underwriting Department.
- Prepare proposals of various insurance quotations with the proper approval of Underwriter/s with corresponding applicable rates to be submitted to clients.
- Attend to and discuss with various existing clients/brokers/agents and prospective clients the various proposals or any matter pertaining to their insurance requirements via personal visitations, telephone, email correspondence, facsimile or cell phone.
- Recommend approval of request of clients for issuance of new policies/ renewals of policies, endorsement of policies, new client code, cancellations of policies and other policy modifications.
- Refer for immediate attention and approval and see to it that management are fully informed about pending matters for which they may be held responsible and accountable for.
- Motivate clients/brokers/agents into bringing in more insurance business through personal visitations, etc.
- Keep abreast of new plans/products/developments in the non-life insurance market to be able to analyze the competitiveness of held insurance lines.
- Recommend strategies and action plans in order to respond to the ever-changing market needs.
- Analyze and evaluate problems in coordination with the other department group's external contacts with the end view of submitting recommendations/rejection of various accounts.
- Follow-up and work towards the closing proposals.
- Take part in affairs, programs and other activities undertaken by the department/company and attend or represent the Company in various conferences, meeting or seminars whenever required.
- Supervise the duties and responsibilities of Marketing Assistants.
- Do other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelors or College Degree in Business Studies or Administration or Management, Marketing or equivalent.
- Preferably Supervisor (5 years and up) experienced employee specialized in Marketing or Business Development or equivalent.
- With knowledge and background in Non-Life Insurance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Skilled at decision-making and Good presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
