Job Description
- Monitor and register incoming invoices ensuring all details are accurately recorded for domestic and foreign suppliers.
- Prepare Supplier Payments, run review and authorisation by the local Business Unit.
- Prepare month-end accruals.
- Assist in monthly reconciliation and month end close of Accounts Payable Ledger.
- Monthly review and housekeep/safekeeping the Accounts Payable ledger.
- Undertake reconciliations of key suppliers’ accounts ensuring that any necessary follow-up actions are taken to resolve queries.
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties necessary to smooth running of ledger and accounts function.
- Carry out daily work in order to meet performance measures set in service agreements between local business units and the SSC.
- Maintain and record information used in the calculation of Key Performance.
- Ensure indicators as part of the preparation of monthly performance report for review with ESSC Director and local finance management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Can speak and understand Spanish.
- A graduate of any Business related course.
- BS Accountancy graduate is an advantage.
- At least 1-year relevant experience of working in an accounts department ideally within an Accounts Payable function.
- High level of computer literacy especially on Microsoft Office packages.
- Previous experience of Oracle systems is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is a minimum requirement.
- Good problem-solving skills to resolve supplier queries and account reconciliations on a timely basis through an initiative.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to input and process invoices quickly and accurately.
