Junior Data Center Engineer  

• Supports the Data Center Manager Division Head to maintain data center on its day to day operations, ensure that all system are in normal operation.
• Hands-on with the data center infrastructure provisioning and server/network equipment deployments.
• Responsible for managing space, power, cabling and rack locations for all hardware installation.
• Maintains an updated, accurate asset list of all hardware equipment and tagging/labelling.
• Troubleshoots and remedies hardware issues, document findings and provide detailed root cause analysis reports.
• Implements the best-practice methodology for maintaining data center environment.
• Capable of coordinating with and supervising vendors for work within data center premises and other critical system.
• Capable of handling other responsibilities given by the management that may need to achieve by the department’s objectives and goals.

• BS Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or ECE graduate
• With at least 2 years working experience serving Data Center/Telco Room
• Hands-on experience on installation and testing of structured cabling
i.e., terminating of copper Cat5E/Cat6 and for multi pair cable (Voice)
• Good level of knowledge/understanding about data center systems such as power distribution, cooling system, UPS, Generator Set, and FM200
• Good level of knowledge/understanding about Data Center Operation and Maintenance, management procedures
• Must be proficient in MS Office (word, excel, powerpoint, etc)
• Must have strong leadership and excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Must be technically inclined
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization abilities.
• Must be willing to take on spectrum of responsibilities
• CompTIA IT Certification is an advantage
