Job Description
Job description includes, but not limited to the following:
- Prepares purchase orders through SAP system, and reviews requisitions for goods and services.
- Canvasses suppliers and vendors distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices.
- Negotiates for discounts, payment terms, delivery schedules and item warranty.
- Requests purchase quotations from vendors.
- Follows up on orders by contacting vendors to ensure that materials are delivered on scheduled dates.
- Researches and evaluates suppliers and vendors, based on price, quality of service, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received
- Prepares reports regarding item conditions and costs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any Business course.
- Able to perform detailed work related to purchasing with accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Willing to be trained and has initiative to learn.
- Has good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge in using SAP system is an advantage.
- Amenable to be assigned in Ayala, Makati City
- Willing to do field work like direct canvassing to suppliers.
- Flexibility in work schedules.
- Able to accomplish other tasks required by Purchasing Management from time to time.
