A commercial Gallery’s main objective is to SELL – to do exactly what it takes to sell in a smart and knowledgable way with a unique product of art is the thrill and challenge of this position. Meeting famous people in person counts as a wonderful fringe benefit of Gallery attendance. You will gradually learn the historical and artistic background of our original prints that cover several centuries.
The Gallery Sales Executive also performs various sales-related administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations, such as stock maintenance & replenishment, research & encoding work for newly arrived items, coordination with our own frame shop, framing services.
The successful applicant serves as the face of the Gallery, will participate in preparations for the Exhibitions inside the Gallery and externally.
He/she reports to the Curator.
Minimum Qualifications
- College graduate, preferably with a degree in Business Administration/Management or similar
- Honest, with impeccable integrity
- Experience in Retail operations and Administrative work
- Strong Artistic inclination with excellent image retention – if you are good in-memory game, you will be a great asset
- Experience in curatorial work preferred but not required
- Familiarity with research, cataloguing, and library work an advantage
- Computer literate and proficient in Windows and/or Mac
- Good eye for detail, meticulous, independent, used to work under minimum supervision
- Takes deadlines seriously and used to work under pressure
- Good in oral and written English; knowledge of other languages helpful
- Happy to deal with high profile clients face to face or via voice and data transmission
- Though the Gallery is located in Makati, training and later weekly visits to the Paranaque office will be part of the work.
