Job Description
- Work with Project and Business Leads to develop and clarify in-depth technical requirements.
- Develop creative, innovative, and practical solutions.
- Work with senior management to establish the technical soundness of the solution.
- Participate in design/architectural discussions.
- Create Architecture and Design artifacts.
- Provide technical leadership, clarity, and direction for off-shore development teams.
- Work at the Offshore Development Centre (ODC).
- May require short duration travel during project startup to client site to work with requirements team.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years experience with Object-Oriented design and development, preferably in different environments.
- 5+ years experience in design and architecture of n-tier .NET middleware systems.
- 5+ years experience with .NET Framework,NET Security, Web Application Servers, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Window Communication Foundation (WCF) technologies.
- Some experience with non-.NET or legacy programming environments such mainframe, C, C++, and Java.
- Expert knowledge of Database Design, and Object-Oriented Analysis/Design techniques.
- Expert knowledge of Architecture, Design, and Programming Patterns.
- Sound knowledge of Database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Significant exposure to implementation languages and environments (e.g. .NET Framework, SOA, EAI).
- Some exposure to frameworks such as NHibernate, OJB.NET and/or Spring.NET.
- Some exposure to other implementation languages and environments (e.g. C, Java, other 3GL) is a benefit.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of mentoring more junior team members to pass on technical and/or other skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to define an overall system architecture to support complex business requirements.
- Ability to deal with the complexity of integrating different systems including legacy systems.
- Able to present technical concepts clearly to different audiences e.g. business, management, non-technical
