Job Description
- Install SharePoint updates, patches. Coordinate with DBA and Windows team on their patches / upgrades.
- Monitor SharePoint Health Analyzer for critical issues (DB usage, disk space, etc.)
- Debug, diagnose, and fix server farm related issues (in correlation with windows and dev team)
- Optimize servers when needed (monitor performance and system resources)
- Manage Service Applications (Web Apps, BDC, SecureStore, Search, etc)
- SharePoint backup and restore (with DBA team)
- Configure site quotas and templates
- Create and map new content databases
Sometimes Required
- Install new instances of SharePoint
- Administer SharePoint Security (service accounts, server access, site collection administrators, web application policy)
- Configure IIS
- Configure Email and Text Messages (SMS)
- Configure Search, monitor performance, and remedy any issues
- Configure Profile sync, monitor performance, and remedy any issues
- Configure SharePoint farm (servers, alternate access mappings, services on servers, features, solutions)
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow
- Previous Tier 2 support experience is a MUST
- Experience with API configuration
- Intermediate level experience in SharePoint configuration and administration
- Excellent and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate business requirements to functional/technical needs
- FTP development expertise using Windows Task Scheduler, Serv-U, PGP encryption and .bat files.
- Ability to understand and support JAVA configurations
- Informatica ETL Development experience
