Job Description
- Leads performance testing team services from initiating and planning performance testing projects, installing and configuring tools, design, development and execution of scripts, to stakeholder communications, request prioritization, and team capacity planning
- Seamlessly collaborates with developers, testers, business analysts, product owners, project managers and other stakeholders to gain business insight and technical knowledge of target systems
- Understands the enterprise landscape and business drivers and defines the performance testing strategy to meet organization goals; Aligns the strategy to individual performance test plans, and tracks the performance team's progress against them
- Conducts comprehensive performance testing analysis, reporting and communication to various audiences up to VP-level
- Provides performance tuning consulting and recommendations and application performance optimization techniques as needed
- Drives continuous performance testing improvement and explores innovations in processes, approaches and tools
- Mentors and leads performance engineers and proposes solutions to day to day technical problems that the team experiences
Minimum Qualifications
- General Performance Testing Experience, preferable in expertise in SmartBear LOAD UI Pro, AND/OR SOASTA CloudTest/ mPulse Tools.
- As an alternative (second priority), HP LoadRunner or IBM Rational Performance Tester
- Minimum 3 years recommended
- Performance Requirements Definition and Elicitation experience (some business analysis, usage scenarios)
- Custom Scripting experience (needs intermediate Java/VB.NET/C## skills)
- Custom Perf Test Scenario building
- Experience in reporting, overlays and results analysis
- Performance Tuning and Engineering experience is a big plus
