Senior Sourcing Manager  

• Responsible for managing the Merchandising Department of the Manila Team.
• Spearheads the initiative of the team to define and execute sourcing and merchandising related plans, which are aligned with the corporate strategies of RGI in a global manner.
• Collaborates with the Product Development Manager(s) and Designer(s) to support the development of the product line.
• Provides sound recommendations that will help meet the financial requirements.
• Reviews and communicates style and material minimums, material costs, and lead times with design Production and Merchandising.
• Enhances relationship with vendors.
• Regularly conducts vendor capacity assessments; as well as vendor performance evaluations.
• Develops and implements strategies, which aims to increase the capacity plan of vendors.
• Explores and understands:
  • Vendor innovations.
  • Potential challenges on sourcing strategies.
  • Negotiating advantageous terms in relation to product materials, material cost, and lead time.
  • Taking lead in sourcing for new vendors to provide options in material, products and techniques.
• Includes key focus of driving the team to help improve the revenue, product quality, and shipment reliability of the vendors and other parties (i.e. logistics) covered under the Philippine Team’s responsibility.
• Proactively comes up with sound strategies and solutions to help improve vendor related processes, together with the QA team; and improve quality of products, together with the Product Development team.

Other Responsibilities:

• Supply Chain – Order Management:
  • Close coordination with Merchandisers, Data Team, and QA Team for vendor and shipping related requests.
• Logistics:
  • Courier provider(s) coordination and accurate shipping monitoring and reporting.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Regular monitoring of all QA reports.
  • Conduct routine visits to current vendors and generate reports.

• At least a Bachelor's / College Degree in Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of international and local business experience in merchandising and logistics, preferably in furniture and handicrafts and at least 4 years in a Managerial level.
• Solid experience in international logistics is a must.
• Familiar with different kinds of materials such as wood, metal, and natural / indigenous materials.
• Strong sourcing network, primarily in the Philippines.
• With experience dealing with the North American market.
• With a merchandiser-fast fashion experience.
• Good negotiation and relation with makers in the specific field.
• Can understand cost competitiveness of suppliers.
• Can work independently or with the team, as the responsibility requires.
• Willing to travel to explore new materials and have hands on coordination with vendors.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
