- Conduct inspection on time according to assigned schedule. Sets up quality standard and manages Quality Controls to ensure factory complies. Identifies area for improvements whenever necessary.
- Check and measure merchandises according to the clients’ approval sample or specification.
- Ensure that merchandises are correctly made, sorted, labeled and packed ready to ship to client.
- Verify that merchandises are meeting to the client’s quality standard and ready to ship.
- Understand fully the factory audit requirement, client’s testing requirements and inform vendor accordingly.
- Closely follows up and monitors order progression at each stage to secure delivery dates per LP.
- Conducts market and PP sample evaluations and issuance of QI reports for prompt reference.
- Analyzes vendor production output closely to identify possible delivery implications and recommends proactively changes in shipment schedule, loading plan, others as see fit. Collaborates with key members of team before alerting management.
- Real-time submission of Inspection Reports, Records, and Updates to the office while on field.
- This includes but is not limited to reporting non-conformance and problem that will affect the client merchandise quality and delivery.
- Clarifies and ensures common understanding of all these quality manuals and procedures at all times including product references, related reports that should be organized and safekept properly.
- Elevates to management with corrective action plan as deemed necessary.
- Inspection references (approved PP sample, colored swatches, etc) must be with him for the new items.
- Ensure shipment photos are always available prior to shipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or any technical related course.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of material wood, rattan, natural fibers, and woven product.Primarily Philippine raw natural materials.
- Should be familiar with handicraft type of production. Familiar with production that uses wood, metal, and natural fibers.
- At least 4 years of solid QC background in export or handicraft business. Must include Quality Control experience in handicraft business and knowledge in SQC techniques, product testing, and factory audit is a must.
- Can work independently with minimum supervision.
- Must have a systematic approach and good analytical skills.
- Good communication skills (oral and written) for English and Filipino language.
- Exhibit effective communication skills and have the ability to interact with others.
- Can communicate with vendors, production members, management, and foreign counterparts with ease.
- Willing to travel when required.
