About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned independent contributor to join our Sales and Business Development team based in Makati City to be responsible in growing the PayLink brand. He or she will be responsible for identifying and acquiring partner retailers and merchants, including building and growing key relationships with them by providing the best account management experience. The successful candidate will be a highly self-driven and competitive sales person who also excels at building long and meaningful partnerships with partner retailers/merchants, with a keen sense of business development and growth management. He or she must have gained experience in either/both credit card companies or financial institutions.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Planning
- Responsible for establishing and managing the merchant acquiring business in an assigned area.
- Identify potential partner retailers/merchants with top-notch brand reputation, significant visibility and substantial sales volumes.
- Deliver meaningful and actionable partner retailer/merchant performance reviews.
Sales
- To meet qualitative and quantitative Sales Objectives defined by the Management.
- Responsible for short-listing, negotiating and arriving at the commercial terms and conditions with merchants in partnership with the Head of Sales and Business Development.
- Define the performance targets for various partner merchants’ basis, the negotiations and expectation and ensure regular and timely monitoring of the performance targets to ensure minimal deviation and timely achievement.
- Manage the contracting process for partner merchant renewals and cross sales.
Partner Merchant Relationship Building
- Deliver merchant operating guides and other merchant-related materials.
- Primary point of contact for prospect merchants.
- Establish and build strong relationships through consistent interaction with merchants regarding their business model, industry, marketplace and the fraud challenges they face.
- Elevate, deepen, and broaden relationships within each merchant and maintain a thorough and up to date understanding of their business and goals.
- Ensure efficient processes are in place for timely resolution of merchant query/ complaints as per the defined timelines.
Operations
- Engaged with payment gateways and work with technology/ IT team for system and product integration.
- Ensure compliance to both internal and external policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work with all other teams within the company to optimize customer experience across our portfolio.

The Sales and Business Development team is the growth engine of QuadX. Armed with the passion for entrepreneurship, we are dedicated to attract, partner, and build meaningful relationships with our key customers, from social sellers and MSMEs to retailers and merchants. We serve to enable eCommerce by making our partners successful in their own businesses.
The Merchant Acquiring Officer will be a key player in the Sales and Business Development Team. As a salesperson for an up-and-coming QuadX product, there is so much potential for career growth and development for the incumbent. The role (and the future team dedicated for Paylink) is expected to evolve as the product matures.
Minimum Qualifications
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of two years of experience in Sales/Marketing/Relationship Management gained from a credit card company or financial institution.
- A confident but compassionate professional with the ability to influence and build credibility in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- A strong desire to accomplish results and achieve targets.
- An innate ability to build trust and credibility with Merchants through consulting and servicing.
- Must have experience in Merchant Acquiring.
- Ability to work with colleagues across organizational and cultural boundaries
- Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to develop and manage measurement metrics
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel essential, experience with Slack and GSuite helpful
- Must be willing to travel and perform field work in NCR and provinces
