Job Description
- Maintains and audits company financial records.
- Oversees budget and financial management.
- Performs duties related to bookkeeping, preparation of government audits, taxes, and financial planning.
- Recommends fiscally advantageous methods to save money.
- Works with tax returns and analyze financial information to ensure taxes are paid on time.
- Audits accounts for errors, misinformation, fraud, and overspending.
- Reports financial information to management.
- Creates and analyzes budgets.
- Advises management on tax ramifications of business decisions
- Acts as a consultant in areas such as compensation, benefits, and asset protection.
- Oversees accounts payable and receivable.
- Forecasts revenue and analyze ledgers.
- Identifies and investigates variances.
- Participates in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient management of the strategic and operational workflow of the domestic, international remittance and international bills payments business
- Establishes and maintains general accounting policies , controls and activities
- Manage sales, operations and product marketing functions of Remittances
- Responsible to manage and design all accounting matters, taxation, bookkeeping, reporting, laws and compliance
- Monitors the day-by-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing and other transactions
- Prepare audit schedules and assist for year-end audit
- Interprets the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
- Monitor Inventory count
- Conduct regular internal audit to all branches.
- Manage sales, operations and product marketing functions of remittances
- Build relationship with banks, suppliers, and government agencies (BIR, SEC, SSS, PHILHEALTH, HDMF, City Office), and all departments of the company
- Organize, file, and protect all accounting and finance documents including original registration and licenses.
- Ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and policies.
- Identify and develop new clients and opportunities. Evaluate new product and services. Expand the business unit
- The position constant communications with customers and internal business partner
- Supports the department’s strategy to achieve the company’s mission and core objective
- Analyze the business through key metrics and benchmarks and lead continuous improvement. Work closely with department units in the assessment of the store personnel
- Perform process and risk reviews for new products, processes and systems implementations and ensure that changes does not negatively impact the existing controls.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Post Graduate Diploma/Master's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Has an experience in Remittance Company is a plus but not required.
- 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
