Job Description

Qiscus is a multichannel conversational platform that helps businesses embrace the new expectations of excellent Customer Experience (CX) through the ability to engage in timely conversations at scale. Building functional systems are definitely needed to improve customer experience. You might be wondering what is the role difference System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, System Engineer, Network Engineer, Release Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), and DevOps Engineer (you may argue that DevOps is not a role). At Qiscus, Site Reliability Engineer is a combination of responsibilities of above, is it possible? Our team make it possible with using tools and automation to simplify and amplify our capabilities and also we have good teamwork culture. Therefore we need SRE who will take part of deploying product updates, identifying production issues, implementing integrations, and optimizing our infrastructure. What You Will Do

  • Fabricate tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Build script to automate operational and deployment process
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Develop and integrate monitoring to prevent or detect errors
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure availability and performance of infrastructure
  • Build, release and manage configuration management of infrastructure and application in multiple environments

Minimum Qualifications

What You Will Bring to the Role

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, System Engineer, Network Engineer, DevOps, SRE or similar role
  • Experience with Databases, Networks and patch management
  • Familiarity with system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Experienced in setup server from empty OS (base OS)
  • Knowledge about Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Containerization, CI/CD and Configuration Management
  • Able to setup best infrastructure design to support all application clients (web, mobile, etc)
  • Good scripting skills in one or more of Perl, Python, Ruby, Bash, Java, etc
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Willing to take part in the on-call rotation schedule
  • Excellent communication skills
