Job Description

Job Summary:

This role is is a key contributor to organisational change; responsible for on-going improvement and optimisation of business processes through the use of information systems, data and business applications in order to deliver tangible measurable benefits to the delivery of our Services. Providing professional advice and new initiatives are required in this role to support all business units requirements. Understanding of IT-IL / IT Service Management is mandatory to maintain the team's SLA in resolving incidents and requests related to business application services.

Job Responsibilites:

  • Develop and manage the strategic direction of business applications; maintain an effective strategy and roadmap for the operation and development of these systems in order to drive continuous improvements in service delivery
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the current ERP and Enterprise Application architecture. Identify, direct and manage opportunities to re-engineer and automate key business processes to optimise efficiency and enhance value
  • Manage the in-house development of user focused software applications and integration services, ensuring alignment to business priorities, using appropriate development techniques and methodology, driving efficiencies through reducing complexity of user input and enhancing operational efficiencies
  • Facilitates the scoping of requirements and priority setting for application changes, engaging all required stakeholders
  • Develop and manage an effective business analysis capability for the Service, through the identification and analysis of activities, processes, business impact assessments and associated plans
  • Manages the ongoing support of applications and business systems ensuring service level agreements and Key Performance Indicator targets are met and service continually improved
  • Manages the provision of application maintenance and support services, either directly or via third party support agreements
  • Provide management of staff, allocating resources, producing team plans and work packages ensuring regular progress reporting against work streams, objectives and desired outcomes
  • Closely working with Project Management & Business Development team to lead projects as required to ensure delivery against time and cost tolerances
  • Closely working with Project Management & Business Development team to actively promote the activities and benefits of the services provided by the Business Application Services Team
  • Closely working with Project Management & Business Development team to monitor and report on the progress of application development and integration projects, using appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed standards, methods and procedures
  • Coordinates and manages system and/or acceptance testing within individual application development projects
  • Develop and maintain personal competencies and knowledge with regard to business applications/systems, identifying any personal training or development needs.
  • Manages external supplier service level agreements, including acting as a routine contact point, collecting performance data, investigating concerns, escalating issues and overseeing supplier service improvement actions
  • Measures and produces regular reports on Business Applications Services operational performance
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of a culture within the Technology Service Department, which emphasises strong client service and ongoing development of efficient work practices
  • Maintains clear work plans and manages timelines whilst remaining flexible and adaptable
  • Plan budgets and manage all Business Application Services operations within control expenses

Minimum Qualifications

  • Min 10+ yrs experience
  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent business process / business analysis skills;
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC (or other system development methodology);
  • Good understanding of IT-IL / IT Service Management framework;
  • Excellent understanding of most common programming language (i.e. C#, Php, .Net, Java) and database technology (i.e. MS SQL, MySQL, etc);
  • Having experience in implementing and/or using ERP (i.e. SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc);
  • Familiar and having experiences with SAP (FI/CO, SD, MM, SCM, HC) is an advantage;
  • Having hands-on experiences in developing business applications and managing organisation change;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload accordingly;
  • Excellent leadership ability with highly developed communication, negotiation and delegation skills;
  • Strong knowledge on Risk & Issue Management;
  • Able to present ideas in a user-friendly language;
  • Having experiences in multi-industries environments is an advantage
  • Up-to-date with current software development frameworks
