Job Description
The role involves overseeing the entire Controls & Auxiliaries department for both sales and operations. On the sales side, it entails setting sales objectives for both direct sales team and System Integrators (SI) as well as crafting sales strategies and ensuring execution in order to achieve sales goals. For operations, it involves project execution and ensuring projects are executed and completed within agreed timeframe and budget.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
1. Develops and implements business strategies that will help attain the short and long term business objectives of the company through sales achievement.
2. Participates in long range company projects, process improvements.
Market Development & Sales Planning
1. Understands and analyzes relevant data from market and industry analysis, in relation to the components of the marketing plan.
2. Conceptualizes programs and activities that drives the Controls / Building Management Systems target market and expand customer base and volume.
3. Develops and implements business strategies aimed to achieve short term and long-term sales objectives of the Controls & Auxiliaries department.
4. Appoints System Integrators (SI) and ensures smooth business relationship and sales performance.
5. Acquires new clients/accounts as well as maintain and optimize current clients/accounts.
6. Develops and implements sales plan to achieve revenue objectives.
7. Recommends sales policies and procedures to further improve & motivate sales force and to further enhance company objectives of maximizing sales and minimizing costs.
Financial Management
1. Prepares annual sales operating plans and quarterly forecasts for review.
2. Collaborates with top management in analyzing the impact of business results to the company’s financial objectives and makes necessary action or recommendation to the management on how to achieve or increase profit.
Human Capital Management
1. Develops, designs, and establishes organizational structures, systems and processes to most effectively achieve the Controls & Auxiliaries Department objectives.
2. Manages and directs job responsibilities of immediate reports and allocate work accordingly.
3. Initiates KRA contracting and administers performance appraisal to all his or her direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or allied courses.
- Post graduate studies or units (MBA) an advantage.
- At least five years sales management experience in an industrial setting with proven sales track record.
- Knowledge in Controls / Building Management Systems is a big plus.
- Strong interest in technical aspects of Building Management.
