Corporate Communications Officer/Senior Officer  

The Corporate Communications (Corp Comm) Officer serves as a brand ambassador, ensuring that all corporate materials (videos, audio-visual presentations, brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials) are updated and aligned with the Corporate brand identity guidelines of the company.

The Corp Comm Officer handles development of content for internal and external communication which includes but not limited to news, articles, stories, speeches, memo, policies and other content for marketing collaterals which can be promoted in various internal (The Primer Post, One Primer Portal, One Primer TV, bulletin boards, etc.) and external (website, social media channels: Facebook Fan Page, Linked In, Instagram, Twitter) communication channels. The Corp Comm Officer will work closely with the different departments such as Human Resources Team for the employer branding and other internal and external branding activities, programs and campaigns that will build and enhance employee engagement. The Corp Comm Officer supervises the implementation and maintenance of online media requirements and ensures that all communication platforms have fresh, compelling and balance content.

The Corp Comm Officer coordinates with internal Marketing and Public Relations team for external press releases and manages all advertisements, sponsorships of the company.

In addition, the Corp Comm Officer handles event management and documentation of corporate events and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Internal and External Communications
  • Crafts/writes/edits news, articles/materials and covers events as needed to populate corporate platforms:
    • Website
    • The Primer Post
    • One Primer Portal
    • Corporate Profile Kit
    • One Primer TV
    • Social media channels (Facebook Fan Page, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In)
  • Develops communication plans, advisories, memos, and policies
• Digital platforms
  • Manages the following corporate properties and their content and ensures that these platforms are current and updated:
    • www.primergrp.com
    • primergrp FB/IG/Twitter/LinkedIn
  • Utilizes analytics to maximize the performance of these channels
  • Makes sure that the content are aligned with the overall communication objectives of the Primer Group
  • Coordinates with various departments/agencies for content/materials
• Branding – ensures that all corporate materials (video, brochures, flyers and other corporate presentations) are updated and aligned with the corporate brand guidelines.
• Publicity/Public Relations
  • Coordinates with agency all publicity writing and other editorial requirements on all materials/subjects for press release
  • Makes sure that there that there is a Public Relations plan and that they are rolled out accordingly
  • Ensures that the materials are aligned with the overall communication objectives of the Primer Group
  • In the absence of an external agency, coordinates with internal agency (Marketing Services Department) for news and external releases
• Mainstream advertising and sponsorships
  • Will spearhead all Above-the-Line (ATL) projects as needed
  • Handles facilitation of contracts and documents for company sponsorships
• Events Management
  • Takes on an active role on all corporate events/projects and corporate social responsibility initiatives

Education Attainment: Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Communication Arts or any Communication-related course
Work Experience: With 3-5 years work experience in Corporate Communications and Marketing (in senior capacity/leadership role)

Skills/Expertise/Competencies

• Excellent writing skills (feature articles, press releases, speeches, corporate marketing collaterals)
• Well adept in managing online digital platforms (website, intranet site, social networking sites: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Well-versed in using graphic design softwares, MS office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be organized, open-minded, team player, proactive, creative, innovative and has boundless energy, and positive disposition
• Works quickly without compromising quality of the output
• Can work independently and lead a team
