Job Description
Domestic & Import Purchases:
- Supervises the process of sourcing and purchasing of goods essential for business operations.
- Leads in Research on potential vendors and compares/evaluates offers from suppliers including Negotiation of Contract Terms of Agreement and Pricing.
- Creates and maintains good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is of high quality and is delivered on time.
- Oversees submission and receipt of pertinent Import Clearances (SPS & MAV).
- Continuously coordinates with Suppliers and/or Courier Service Providers regarding Shipping Schedule and necessary documents.
- Ensures accurate entry of order details (i.e. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases ( Monitoring GSheet; ERP) including maintenance of updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
- Certifies and ensures accuracy of reports on purchases, including cost analyses & monitoring of stock levels.
- Coordinates with Warehouse & Logistics Team to ensure proper storage of purchased items.
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of any business-related course
- Having at least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience in Local and Import Purchasing in Food or Logistics sector.
- Has adequate knowledge on estimating, planning, inventory management, cost and budgetary preparation, supervision and management, and best practices in purchasing.
- Knowledgeable in software applications including google docs/sheets/Rose Task Manager/ERP
- Excellent organizational, planning, negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Keen attention to details.
- Proficient oral and written English communication and presentation skills.
