Job Description
- Check and approve necessary documents that circulates within purchasing department
- Make professional and important decisions that involves the purchasing department of the company
- Maintain likely levels of demand for services and products to meet the company needs and keeping a constant check on stock level to maximize company efficiency
- Ensure that the suppliers are aware of business objectives
- Attend meetings and trade conferences that involves purchasing department for the improvement of the department itself
- Train and manage the work of the staff of the purchasing department
- Continuous monitoring of KPI of the staff of the purchasing department
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a College degree in Business/ Marketing/ Finance/ Accountancy or nay relates course
- At least 5 years of working experience as a purchasing supervisor/ manager in steel trading industry
- Preferably specializing in Purchasing/ Inventory/ Material & Warehouse management or equivalent
- With strong leadership and negotiating skills as well as decision making skill
- With excellent communication and presentation skills
- Has knowledge about forecasting concepts and tools for understanding market trend in steel in industry
- Excellent in Microsoft office
- Proficient in ERP system
