Job Description

RECRUITMENT

  • Conducts screening interviews of job applicants.
  • Administers batteries of psychological tests to applicants, summarizes results and prepares Candidates’ Profile Summary.
  • Endorses shortlist of candidates for interview of the HR Manager and the requesting Department Manager.
  • Requires applicant submission of pre-employment requirements.
  • Endorses applicants for pre-employment medical exam as a pre-requisite to hiring.
  • Ensures compliance of all pre-employment requirements of applicants prior to hiring.
  • Conducts background investigation from former employer of applicants, as necessary and especially for sensitive positions.
  • Conducts orientation session of new hires.
  • Coordinates with manpower agency regarding requirements for agency personnel.
  • Maintains a pool of candidates for relievers and replacement of personnel with near expiring contracts.
  • Coordinates with requesting departments regarding the filling of job vacancies.
  • Conducts job postings and sourcing of candidates on all possible free sites to generate greater source of potential candidates for job vacancies

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Processes application for leave, change of time schedule/day-off, etc.
  • Processes benefits availment and application of both company-provided and government-mandated benefits.
  • Issues appointment paper for new hires, promotion, transfer of assignment, salary adjustments and the like.
  • Safekeeps the 201 file of rank-and-file and supervisory employees.
  • Updates Employee Masterlist
  • Updates the salary structure in connection with wage orders and to keep abreast with the market for employee retention.
  • Ensures timely implementation of Wage Orders ensuring equitable adjustment including correction of any wage distortion or compression.
  • Conducts studies on benefits to further improve existing benefits and be abreast with the market.
  • Monitors expiry dates of medical and life insurance (if any) conducting appropriate studies prior to its renewal.
  • Ensures compliance of the company to all government-mandated benefits.
  • Coordinates with government agencies such as SSS, Philhealth and PagIBIG for benefits availment of employees.
  • Submits government mandated reports to SSS, Philhealth, PagIBIG, DOLE, etc.
  • Keeps employees abreast with the latest improvement of government-mandated benefits.
  • Conducts orientation sessions to employees on updates regarding benefits.
  • Handles employee inquiries regarding benefits availment.

EMPLOYEE /LABOR RELATIONS

  • Attends to preparation and coordination of all employee activities such as Christmas party, company outing, sports activities, trainings & workshops, etc..
  • Assists Department Heads in the interpretation and implementation of the company’s rules and regulations, as well as correct implementation of disciplinary sanctions and due process based on the company’s code of discipline.
  • Documents disciplinary action procedures for employees who committed violations.
  • Assists in counselling employees with disciplinary action memo and other employees who might need counseling to further improve employee performance.
  • Issues commendation for employees with Perfect Attendance.
  • Strengthens management-employee relationships.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Conducts Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and determines company-wide’s training requirements.
  • Summarizes results of the TNA Survey and scouts for possible training programs based on results.
  • Coordinates internal training activities.
  • Assesses training proposals and facilitates employee’s attendance to external training.
  • Conducts training and orientation programs as necessary.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:

  • Monitors & coordinates issuance of performance evaluation of probationary employees on the 3rd and 5th month evaluation period.
  • Coordinates with Department Heads the regularization of employees on probationary period.
  • Prepares regularization memo.
  • Issues and monitors compliance and submission of performance evaluation forms during semi-annual evaluation period.
  • Summarizes results of Employees’ Semi-Annual Performance Evaluation Results.
  • Issues notices to employees who failed to meet at least the satisfactory level of required job performance.
  • Prepares memo to effect corresponding approved salary adjustments as a result of annual performance evaluation.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College graduate, preferably of BS Psychology, Human Resources Management, Behavioral Science
  • With 3-5 years experience in similar capacity
  • With basic knowledge of Labor Code of the Philippines
  • Good interpersonal skills, approachable
  • Firm in implementing company rules and regulations
  • Creative in coming up with HR programs to foster good employer-employee relationship
  • Good organizing and coordinating skills
  • Discreet in handling confidential information
