Job Description

  • Head for Operations and Sales
  • Hire new employees (for Operations and Sales Department)
  • Interview and hire staff, and oversee staff training.
  • Fast delivery strategies
  • Ocular financial plan for branches proposal
  • Able to handle branch operation and client coordination
  • Implement and manage business plan
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Control purchasing department budgets.
  • Purchasing prices of steels
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Skills to purchase various types of steel along with sales, establishing profitable relationships with buyers and sellers, coupled with strong leadership skills, effective problem solver, ability to interface easily with executive levels and institutions.
  • Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
  • Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers
  • Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids
  • Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies
  • Prepare bid awards requiring board approval.
  • Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs
  • Administer on-line purchasing systems.
  • Arrange for disposal of surplus materials
  • Develop a wide network with the key people in the steel/ construction industry
  • He or she should have the knowledge in trading of steel along with sales management, strategic consulting on new business plans and sales strategy development, as well as negotiating skills for purchasing and selling of steel, domestically and internationally.
  • Has the skills to purchase various types of steel along with sales, establishing profitable relationships with buyers and sellers, coupled with strong leadership skills, effective problem solver, ability to interface easily with executive levels and institutions.
  • Ability to market products domestically and globally, and negotiate contracts with manufacturers to tap into and occupy new markets.
  • Able to handle branch operation and client coordination.
  • Responsible for new business development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience on International Steel Trading. Has the knowledge on Ferrous and Non Ferrous Metals. Can able to sell all kinds of steel.
  • Must have a proven track record working with steel importers, users, construction, fabrication, manufacturing and local government projects.
  • Has knowledge in selling these steel products: rebar’s, beams, channels, angles, plate, HRC/CRC, coils, structural shapes, pipes, tubes, wire rod and other steel products for construction industry.
  • Must have an existing Database of Leads, Prospect and Local Government Projects.
  • Should have in depth knowledge & exposure in steel industry.
  • Can communicate in Local Dialect and English both oral and written.
  • Pleasant and dynamic personality with great enthusiasm for sales.
  • Self-motivated and result oriented with strong desire to succeed and ability to work independently.
