Job Description
- Collaborate closely with Product Manager, Designer and Dev team to build fully functional Android apps
- Understand the design and collaborate with the team to develop features
- Create and Implement use cases based on stories defined by the team
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platforms
- Translate designs and wireframes into Kotlin and XML
- Work with other developers and engineers to integrate backend APIs
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Support the entire application lifecycle (design, develop, test, deploy and maintain)
- Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Provide support on the Operations team to diagnose problems
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related course
- Proven experience as an Android developer with a portfolio of released applications in Google Play store
- Experience developing applications using Java/Kotlin and Android SDK
- Handled application data with SQlite and Room
- Proven working experience in Android app development and
- Have published at least one original Android app
- Experience with JSON and XML
- Knowledge in using Android terminal commands
- Experience in using version control system - Git preferred
- Must have an understanding of major Android Design & Development paradigms spanning User Experience (native and web views), data ingestion, analytics, web services etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, business management, time management and developmental skills
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and debugging skills
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Updated with web/mobile new and technologies
