Collection Assistant  

Job Overview

To provide support in the following areas:

• Accounts reconciliation, billing, and collection for-profit centers.
• Processing of premium payments, commissions, and refunds for broker accounts.
• Monitoring of request for deliveries and collection/updates of messenger itinerary through the Collection Messengerial System.

Functional Competencies

• General Accounting. Has adequate knowledge of general accounting concepts, principles, tools and techniques as well as the company’s general accounting system, policies and procedures, and applies these appropriately to his/her job.
• Attention to Detail. Accomplishes tasks completely through concern for all areas involved, no matter how small. Easily spots errors and discrepancies.
• Organization. Arrange files and information in a useful manner.
• NIIS Inquiry/Encoding/Downloading. Knows how to access, encode in, inquire and download files from NIIS.
• Collection. Monitor/reconcile/follow up payment on outstanding accounts and recommends cancellation of overdue accounts in accordance with company policies and procedures. Observes payment habit of intermediaries and adjusts collection tactics accordingly.
• Computation of Rebates and Commissions. Compute premium commissions and rebates in accordance with company guidelines.

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent, any business-related course is also acceptable.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a related field is a plus.
• Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Makati.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
